Blast It Clean was started in 2008 with a focus on exceptional service and safety in the surface coating removal industry. BIC uses the most environmentally friendly way of cleaning surfaces. In the last two years, Blast It Clean has taken over the marine industry in Charleston, SC by proving to be the safest and most effective service company.

The Process

BIC uses a low pressure abrasive blasting method gentle enough to clean soft surfaces like limestone and wood yet effective enough to remove coatings from steel, fiber glass and concrete.  BIC removes graffiti from buildings, paint from boat bottoms, rust from monuments, cleans historical buildings and exposes aggragate.  The process differs from sandblasting, soda blasting and sponge blasting:
    • BIC operates at pressures below 60 psi, using minimal water, so runoff is reduced and 95 percent of airborne particles are eliminated.
    • BIC uses only environmentally friendly mineral based media, friendly for the earth and the operators!
    • Minimal water and pressure make for easy clean up and disposal.
    • The system only uses 50 lbs of media an hour.
